Elaine Meryl Brown, former Vice President, Special Markets, Creative Services at HBO, is an Emmy Award winning writer and Producer who has won numerous awards in the broadcast/cable industry. She was a Creative Director at Showtime and has worked in television at both the network and local levels. Elaine was chosen as one of The Network Journal’s “25 Influential Black Women in Business”. She is the author of two novels published by Random House, Lemon City and Playing by the Rules. She is currently a freelance producer and frequent contributor to Essence

Marsha Haygood is a career and life coach and dynamic motivational speaker who travels the country sharing her experiences, inspirational messages and success tips.
Known for her direct approach, strategic thinking and optimistic attitude, Marsha believes that all things are possible Building on her own passion, Marsha’s career has grown from part time receptionist while in college to corporate Executive Vice President of Human Resources and Administration to now that of successful entrepreneur. She is the founder and principal of StepWise Associates, a consulting firm specializing in professional development, as well as co-founder of Leadership Excellence and Development Strategies.
Rhonda Joy McLean is deputy general counsel of Time Inc., a global multi- enterprise that produces many well-known brands, including Time, PEOPLE, Sports Illustrated, Fortune, Money, Real Simple, Southern Living and Essence, among others. Before joining Time, she was the assistant regional director of the Northeast Region of the Federal Trade Commission. She manages one third of the Time Inc. Law Department and advises over 200 clients on domestic and international advertising and data security protocols, across omni-channel platforms. med Lemon City and Playing by the Rules, as well as a contributor to Essence.
